Shop is now Open
The Farm shop is now open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10-3. We have had our vaccines. Social distancing is still required with mask, if entering the buildings. If you would let like to tour the animals, let us know when you arrive and we will try to accommodate you.
Shearing was completed last week. It is funny to see how much little space they take up when they are not covered in wool. Right now we have the unbred ewes roaming around the front of the shop area cutting the grass for us.
The kids are super photogenic. They come sit with me when I hang out in their area. I thought I was done with their birthing and turns out that I have five more that got pregnant very late. Either way I should be done by 30 May! No buck, no babies.
I am preparing for the Maryland Sheep and Wool Virtual festival. This is my color way - shades of pink, peach and cranberry. I dyed a batch of fingering weight and another of sport weight. Most are not solid colors. I will be listing these online the day before the wool festival as well as any art yarns that I am able to spin up.
A free pattern comes with each purchase made May 1-2, 2021. You have to let me know in the buyer’s notes which one you would like and an email for me to send the pdf to. Do not buy it on my Etsy shop. If you do, you are supporting my animals and I appreciate it. There will be no refunds for patterns purchased by mistake, since they are PDFs!
