New Store page

The Store page - https://www.witherswool.com/store - has a variety of the mill spun yarns now available for purchase online. Prices are the same as in the physical shop. Shipping costs are not included in the price. This has just been set up and hopefully all the bugs have been worked out. If you are trying to purchase a yarn and have any issues please let me know. As of 15 August about one-third of the mill spun yarns are listed in the digital Store. I will slowly be adding all the rest to the digital Store over the next few weeks. For now, only the mill spun yarns are available on-line. All the hand-made goods (e.g. handspun yarn, shawls, mats, etc.) are only available in the physical shop.

Our gorgeous mill spun comes from the highest quality fiber which comes from superior animals. Our mill spun comes from the same happy, well-tended Merino Sheep and Angora Goats as the handspun. We breed the animals for the softest fleeces. The animals graze year-round on our organic pastures, supplemented by hay from a local farm. All fiber is shorn, skirted, and washed on the farm with exquisite care. To create the mill spun, the fiber is sent to a local mill to be processed into different lengths, weights, and mixes.

The predominant mix of the mill spun is composed of Merino and Mohair; this mixture provides a yarn that is ultra-soft and light yet strong, hard-wearing and moisture-wicking. Other mixes include a Shetland and Mohair blend and a Woolen Mohair blend. There are a variety of vibrant colors to choose from.If you come to the renovated barn that is our shop, you will see many of the finished goods with patterns also have an associated art yarn and companion mill spun suitable for making the pattern.
